Our Newminster Year 8 boys football team successfully progressed to the 5th round of the National Cup this week after a pulsating cup tie away at Seaton Burn.

After going behind twice, Newminster showed great character and team spirit to fight back to draw level at 2-2 with goals from Jamie Barry and Joe Briddon.

Extra time could not separate the teams but Newminster came out eventual winners 7-6 on penalties,

Robert Eadington making the crucial saves and Ben Michelson scoring the winning penalty. Our Year 8 boys now face a tricky away tie against Carnforth High School from Lancaster in round 5.
